Most people think that once a horse turns 10 years old that he/she is too old to ride. Well, that is simply not true. A horse is just getting broke when they turn 10 and most of the rodeo competition horses out there in the PRCA are over 10 years old and some of them are in their 20's! With that being said, don't pass up this young mare that is just starting her life.
Xian (pronounced Cheyenne) is a 14 year old mare that has excellent manners both on the ground and in the saddle. She is easy to catch, loves people and attention and just point her to the trailer and she will jump in for you. She is easy to shoe, vaccinate and worm. If you prefer, you could longe her and she will show you very pretty circles. Xian has also ridden in a 5 day Brad Cameron Clinic.
Xian is soft in the face and is ridden with a bridle. If you don' t like bridles, well just ride her in her halter, she doesn't need anything in her mouth. Soft and smooth is her trot and lope and she is llama broke, which is handy out here in the mountains.
She has been ridden on cattle drives and doesn't get bothered with lots of stimuli. This would be a great choice for someone looking for a pretty horse that knows all the buttons to push. She has been a broodmare and one of her babies is on this site.

Hi Debbie!

Just a quick thank you again for helping me to find "Pats Cita Rosita"......also known as "Xian"! She is wonderful. I've been able to ride her several times, weather permitting......and must say she is probably the best trained horse I've ever owned. She is also very loving, and believe me......we are loving her! I will update you again once I can get some pictures taken so I can send them along. Thank you for the wonderful service you provide. Without it, I would never have found "Xian". And thank you to Diane, her former owner, who must miss her desperately. Please know you are welcome to come visit her and us anytime!
