Pictures are worth a thousand words......so what do these pictures tell you? That he is pretty well broke? Well, he is. "Tonto" is just a nice horse that most people can get along with. In some of the photos, there is a twelve year old girl riding him in the Salmon River in Idaho. Also, there is a photos that shows one of the trainers gathering mares and colts with him and he is a perfect gentleman. Now how many horses do you think could stand there and let a bunch of horses run by without getting bothered?
This is an example of some of the mature horses that Medicine Horse Ranch is selling this year. They have tons of outside experience doing a job on a working horse ranch. Tonto is going to mature about 16 hands tall, if not a little taller. He moves in his trot and lope like a confident horse. I am not talking about dragging his nose in the ground and taking all day to get there, I am talking about a horse that loves to please and moves out to go somewhere. He is also patient enough to wait for everyone else to catch up. Oh, he doesn't always have to be in the lead, he is just fine in the back of the group too. This horse is the first one up if you go walk out in the pasture. He loves people and is a gentleman when working around him, and pretty enough to show, if that is your desire. There is no limit to what this horse is capable of doing, just be a friend to him and he will do his best to make your ride the best ever!
To beat all.....this horse was ridden on the Lewis and Clark Trail through Montana in 2006, that is about 250 miles on the side of the road!!!!!

I'm so thrilled with my new horse Tonto, who I now call Cowboy! After spending 4 months searching for a second trail horse, I discovered Debbie's website and 2 weeks later found myself owning an amazing 5-year old paint gelding who's met or exceeded every expectation I had! Debbie and I emailed and phoned many times, she always responded professionally and promptly, and we quickly put our faith and trust in each other's honesty, knowledge and abilities. She and her daughters had ridden Cowboy and were very familiar with him, plus she sent me an awesome very professional video before I made the decision to drive the 500 mile round trip to try him out. I was expecting to do some arena work, but she instead took me on an almost 3 hour trail ride in beautiful country and I knew right away I'd found my new horse. Best of all, I always felt she sincerely had my best interests at heart when I told her I was an ol' Montana cowgirl who's ridden all my life, used to show western pleasure with a few dressage lessons thrown in, who now just needed a quiet, dependable trail horse to take good care of me. Debbie and I continue to keep in touch and I've shared her website with many of my friends and students. I urge anyone searching for a quality horse that matches their desires and abilities to contact Debbie Hamilton! She's easy to work with, I trust her knowledge and expertise and besides getting a fabulous horse, I've made a new friend as well!
Thanks Debbie!
