Buying a horse online can sometimes be an intimidating proposition. Our goal is to make the transaction as easy and smooth as possible for both buyer and seller. It is our goal to have buyers come back again and again to purchase horses for their recreational, breeding and performance needs. We are licensed with the state of Montana and the USDA and are bonded.

• Deposits: we require a deposit of 20% of the selling price of the horse as soon as the buyer's offer is accepted. The balance is due within 2 weeks unless other arrangements are made in advance. Buyer will receive a receipt of deposit upon clearance from bank in the form of electronic transfer, cashiers check or cash or clearing of personal check.

• Payment: Once full payment is received via wire transfer or cashiers check or cash, ownership transfers to buyer. All registrations papers, breeders certificates, bills of sale etc. will be sent immediately to new owner.

• Boarding and Vet Fees: Buyer may be responsible for boarding and vet fees incurred after ownership is transferred unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Seller will assume cost of health certificate, brand inspection and coggins unless it is a out of country purchase which case the seller will be responsibe for additional fees. Seller will provide transporter with all necessary documents. Buyer is responsible for vet fees on all prepurchase veterinary exams and any veterinary fees incurred after the sale is finalized.

• Horse must be paid in full before transporting. No exceptions!

• Transportation: Buyer is responsible for making transportation arrangements and paying for transportation on horses unless other arrangements have been made. We can assist you in making arrangements where possible.

• Seller is responsible for paying agent fees unless other arrangements are made.

• We will be happy to act as agents for buyers looking for horses in the Western Montana area. Call about our fees.

• All the information gathered to market these horses has been provided by the owners of the horses listed. Bitterroot Equine Marketing Services or anyone acting on behalf of Bitterroot Equine Marketing Services shall not be held responsible for any misrepresentation of the horses listed on these pages. All decisions on price, payment method, guarantees are the owners.
