Phil Mainey
Clinician and Professional Team Penner
Phil's quote, "I have found the best thing you can bring to any event is a postitive attitude. You agreed ahead of time to compete with your partners. No one starts a run trying to make mistakes! Give more to the sport than what you take away from it and you'll always be rewarded. Have fun, ride hard, and don't weaken!!!"
Phil Mainey came to Canada from Australia in 1979 as a Bull Rider for the Australian team competing at the Calgary Stampede. For the last 14 years, he has successfully competed in the sports of Team Penning and Team Sorting. Phil has won several rodeo and team penning events/titles including Australian Bull Riding Champion, Northern Rodeo Assoc. Bull Riding Champion, Denver Stock Show Open Team Penning Champion, Calgary Stampede Penning Champion, the Canadian Nationals Shoot-out, 2-Bow & Arrow Cattle Co. eight-go averages (known as the richest team penning in the west), USTPA Region 5 Open Champion, USTPA Region 9 Open Champion, and two-time Montana High Point Team Penner.
Phil continues to compete, train horses in Montana, and conducts penning and sorting clinics throughout the northwest. If you are interested in booking a spot in one of his clinics, or if you would like to sponsor him, then email your request from this site.
We are very proud to represent his horses for sale.
