This mare was started right by Karen Evers on the Running Elk Ranch in Darby, Montana. This big 1200 acre ranch has every kind of terrain that you would want to expose a young horse too, including elk, coyotes, whitetail deer and sometimes an occational wolf. Karen Evers knows how to take a young horse and expose them to this kind of terrain and make a "thinking" horse out of them. Karen is patient and kind and puts plenty of ground work on a young horse before stepping into the saddle. This fine mare isn't spooky or flighty. She is a horse that thinks her way through an obstacle and has very smooth gaits through the walk, trot and canter, or lope. As you can see by her Dam's side of her pedigree, she has what it takes to be a performer and a athlete.
Face is very correct in her conformation getting the best from the Quarter horse side and Arabian side. Pretty head with a long neck and a shoulder that goes into her back with ease, and look at that nice Quarter Horse hip! This is the best of both breeds and that is what Running Elk Ranch has tried to acheive, with success!!!
